1.About HARI-OM, Inc.
HARI-OM, Inc. ("we," "us," "our," "HARI-OM") is a Delaware nonprofit corporation (File #10057904) recognized as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization (EIN 37-2169652). Our acronym stands for Hindu Association for Religious Initiatives — Outreach Mission. Our mission is to preserve Hindu traditions, foster community, and provide educational and charitable programs to Delaware families of all backgrounds.
2.What HARI-OM is NOT — no professional advice
HARI-OM, Inc. is not:
- A law firm or legal services provider. We do not provide legal advice.
- A financial advisor, investment advisor, or broker-dealer. We do not provide investment, tax, retirement, or financial advice.
- A real estate brokerage or firm. We do not list, buy, or sell properties.
- An insurance agency. We do not sell insurance products or provide individualized insurance advice.
- A medical, psychological, or mental health provider.
- A religious authority empowered to issue binding decrees, divorces, or certifications.
Although some board members, officers, and volunteers may hold professional licenses in their personal capacities (e.g., as realtors, insurance producers, or other professionals), nothing on this website or in our programs constitutes professional services from those individuals. Professional services must be arranged separately, outside of HARI-OM, directly with the licensed professional.
3.General educational purpose only
All content on this website, in our workshops, in our classes, and in our communications is provided for general educational and community-building purposes only. It is not professional advice and you should not rely on it as such. You are responsible for verifying information and for seeking qualified professional advice for your specific situation. We make no representations or warranties regarding accuracy, completeness, currency, or suitability of any information provided.
Information is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind.
4.Free Will service disclaimer
HARI-OM does not draft wills, review wills, or provide legal advice regarding estate planning. We maintain a curated list of free third-party will-creation services (FreeWill.com, DoYourOwnWill.com, Fabric by Gerber Life) as a convenience to our community.
HARI-OM:
- Does not endorse, vouch for, or guarantee the work of any third-party service
- Does not receive compensation, commissions, or referral fees from any service
- Is not responsible for any will, directive, power of attorney, or other legal document created through these services
- Is not responsible for errors, omissions, or legal deficiencies in documents you create
- Is not responsible if a will, once signed, is challenged, contested, or fails to achieve your intended purpose
For complex estates — including blended families, property in multiple states, closely-held business interests, special-needs beneficiaries, high-value assets, or unusual family circumstances — we strongly recommend consulting a licensed Delaware attorney. You may find Delaware estate-planning attorneys through the Delaware State Bar Association at dsba.org/find-a-lawyer.
5.Homebuyer education workshops disclaimer
Any homebuyer education workshops we offer are general educational sessions only.
HARI-OM:
- Does not recommend specific realtors, lenders, mortgage brokers, title companies, inspectors, or attorneys
- Does not refer attendees to any particular real estate professional
- Does not receive referral fees, commissions, or other compensation from any real estate transaction involving an attendee
- Does not provide individualized real estate advice or analyze specific properties
- Does not verify the currency or accuracy of general market information discussed
- Does not guarantee outcomes of any home purchase decision
Real estate markets, laws, and lender policies change frequently. Information discussed in workshops is general education as of the workshop date and may become outdated. For personal real estate decisions, consult your own licensed real estate professional, lender, attorney, and inspector of your own choosing.
6.Financial literacy classes disclaimer
Any financial literacy classes we offer (including topics such as retirement accounts, insurance concepts, budgeting, and general financial planning) are general educational sessions only.
HARI-OM:
- Does not sell insurance, securities, annuities, or investment products
- Does not provide individualized financial, tax, investment, retirement, or insurance advice
- Does not recommend specific financial products, funds, or strategies for any attendee
- Does not receive commissions, referral fees, or compensation from financial products discussed
- Does not endorse any specific financial institution, advisor, or provider
For personal financial decisions, consult a licensed Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), registered investment advisor, insurance broker, or tax professional of your own choosing.
7.Vendor resource list disclaimer
Any community vendor resource list we maintain (e.g., listings of photographers, decorators, caterers, or other service providers used by community members) is a bulletin-board convenience only.
HARI-OM:
- Does not endorse, vet, investigate, or vouch for any vendor listed
- Does not verify licenses, insurance coverage, references, or quality of work
- Does not conduct background checks on listed vendors
- Does not receive compensation from vendors for inclusion or referral
- Inclusion in any list does NOT constitute a recommendation or endorsement
You are solely responsible for your own due diligence before hiring any vendor, including verifying licenses, insurance, references, and reviews. Any dispute with a listed vendor is solely between you and the vendor. HARI-OM is not a party to and bears no responsibility for any transaction, agreement, or dispute involving listed vendors.
8.Religious content disclaimer
Religious texts and teachings presented on our website and in our programs reflect traditional Hindu sources including the Bhagavad Gita, Upanishads, and related scriptures. Translations and interpretations provided are for educational purposes and may not reflect all scholarly, sectarian, or interpretive traditions within Hinduism.
HARI-OM does not claim religious authority, issue binding religious pronouncements, or represent any specific sampradaya (tradition), guru lineage, or sectarian position. We respect the diversity of Hindu practice and welcome respectful discussion.
9.Events, programs & schedule changes
All events, programs, classes, schedules, dates, times, and locations are subject to change or cancellation without notice.
- Listed calendar dates (including festival dates set by lunar calendar) are planning targets, not firm commitments
- Our calendar reflects tentative plans for our founding years (2026–2027) and may be substantially revised
- Hindu festival dates vary year to year and should be verified with a qualified pandit before making arrangements
- Confirm current schedule with us before traveling, arranging childcare, or incurring other costs
HARI-OM is not liable for any costs you incur (including travel, lodging, childcare, or missed work) based on scheduled events that are later changed, postponed, relocated, or canceled.
10.Assumption of risk at events
Attendance at HARI-OM events, programs, and facilities is at your own risk. You voluntarily assume all risks associated with attendance, including but not limited to:
- Travel to and from the facility

- Food allergies, food sensitivities, and adverse reactions (community meals)
- Illness or infection transmission (pre-, during, or post-event)
- Interactions with other attendees, volunteers, or vendors
- Property damage or loss of personal items
- Weather-related conditions for outdoor events
Parents and guardians assume these risks on behalf of minor children.
We encourage all attendees to take common-sense precautions: dress appropriately for the activity, disclose food allergies to the event coordinator, supervise your children at all times, and notify us in advance of specific accessibility or medical needs.
11.Photography & media release
By attending HARI-OM events, programs, or activities, you consent to being photographed, videotaped, or audio-recorded for HARI-OM's use in:
- Our website and social media channels

- Grant applications and required regulatory filings
- Press releases and external publications
You grant HARI-OM a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide, non-exclusive license to use such media without compensation, notice, or additional consent.
If you do not wish to be photographed, please notify the event coordinator upon arrival. We will make reasonable efforts to exclude you from media, but make no guarantee in large or candid settings.
Parents who do not want their children photographed must affirmatively notify us at each event. Absent such notice, photography of children in group settings is assumed to be permitted.
12.Children's programs
For in-person programs involving minors (including children's dharma classes, youth activities, and teen volunteer programs):
- Parental or guardian consent is required for enrollment
- We make reasonable efforts to screen and supervise volunteers working with children
- Parents are responsible for their children's conduct, safety, arrival, departure, and supervision during breaks
- Children remain under parental legal responsibility at all times
- HARI-OM is not a substitute for parental supervision or a licensed childcare provider
- HARI-OM does not provide transportation for children
- We do not administer medication to children; parents must handle any medical needs directly
Parents should satisfy themselves about our programs, volunteers, and premises before enrolling children.

Our website links to external websites including government agencies, will-creation services, educational resources, and reference sites.
